About Us

Don Mahaffey formed Greenscape Methods LLC (GM) in 2010 after completing construction of the critically acclaimed Wolf Point Club. Don and GM staff bring an end user perspective to every project. We have been involved in 20+ projects ranging from small scale drainage improvements to large scope renovation projects and new constructions.

We are strong believers in using all available technology to manage and construct the best possible golf course; we also believe that technology must be used practically and be applied in a creative manner. Too often we see courses over engineered at great expense, but with no real value added to experiencing the game itself. We think Steve Jobs said it best, “producing something simple, beautiful, and highly functional is all about finding the right intersection of creativity and technology”. We believe finding that intersection is a result of assembling a strong team that focuses on creative answers while staying focused on “golf” solutions where the game is always at the forefront of every decision.

We view ourselves as a golf company, not a construction firm. We work in golf because we love the game of golf, golf courses, and those who play the game. In the simplest terms we view each project opportunity as a “golf project” not a “construction project”. Along those lines we encourage our staff to experience the game by constantly studying golf courses, learn from those building and designing courses, and most of all play at the unique golf courses around the world.
